THE ARCHIVIST

Digital product licence

What you own when you buy

Yours, permanently

  • Every format, one price. EPUB, PDF, M4B and chaptered MP3. The ebook and the audiobook are one product and are never sold apart.
  • Every device you own. No device limit, no account, no sign-in.
  • No DRM. Nothing in the files restricts what you do with them, and nothing phones home.
  • No expiry. The files do not stop working, and we cannot take them back.
  • Backups. Copy them wherever you keep things safe.

Not included

  • Reselling, lending commercially, or redistributing the files.
  • Uploading them anywhere public.
  • Using the audiobook inside another product, or as training data.
  • Any transfer of copyright — the text and the recording stay with the publisher.

Quoting briefly with attribution is normal and welcome, exactly as with a printed book.

Material licensed from others

Where a volume carries photographs, each is credited with its creator, its licence and its source, and those licences travel with the image rather than with your copy. Volume I is text-led and carries no third-party imagery at all.

Synthetic narration

Our audiobooks are read by a synthetic voice, and every product page says so before you buy. The narrator is not a person and is not presented as one.
